A Day With Kenzie and Abby

Wade and Jen--along with my parents--went golfing this morning, leaving me with the girls. I knew the three of us would have good time, but I was a little worried about how Abby would react when Wade and Jen first left. She got a little upset, walked to the door, walked back, and played with the blocks. Kenzie chose to watch Frosty the Snowman (which I agreed to since I knew it was a movie we could actually make it through.

After Frosty the Snowman, Kenzie decided she wanted to watch Aladdin. I walked in the other room to get Abby a snack and when I came back this is what I saw...

Kenzie had pulled out the yoga mat and little dumbbells to do her "exercises". Since I had pulled out the camera, Kenzie insisted on taking more pictures. She took this one of Abby herself...
After watching Frosty the Snowman two more times, along with Lady and the Tramp, we went outside for some fun in the sprinklers.

Overall, it was a fun day, but boy do those girls wear me out.

July Already?

As I'm sitting here bored at work, I began to think about how it is already July and the year is half over. I can't believe how fast time has gone. However, I am excited it is July. I only have one month until CABO!!! The summer semester is four weeks from being over--then only 10 more classes to go. Plus, tonight I get to go see fireworks with this amazing guy that I'm seeing.

In doing a quick evaluation of this year so far, I think it has been pretty decent. I feel my life is finally getting on the right track. I have realized that everyone makes mistakes and there is nothing I can do to change what has happened. I have lived, learned, and now I'm moving on from the past. I know I'm finally at this point because of my great friends and wonderful family!
